The young poker genius Laksh Pal Singh has won the IOPC – The Crown tournament and took home a whopping prize of Rs. 51.81 lakhs. He also won an 18K gold IOPC badge and a diamond-studded 18K gold crown.
India’s biggest poker series – The India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) offered a total prize pool of Rs. 28 crores through a series of online qualifiers and main event tournaments. Quadnet Poker Network which comprises of Spartan Poker, Blitz Poker and PokerHigh were hosting these mega tournaments on their websites. The Crown was one of the main events that featured a massive prize pool of Rs. 3.5 crores.
Laksh Pal Singh graduated from the prestigious Sri Ram College of Commerce and worked as a financial consultant with Grant Thornton. He received some lessons in real-money poker from his friend and later took some coaching from Sumit Sapri, who is a top online player.
Laksh wants to stay humble after winning The Crown; he wishes to continue learning and focus on becoming one of the best poker players in the world.
